President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih will present the National Award of Honour to 4 individuals, the National Award of Recognition to 14 individuals and the National Award for Special Achievement to 11 individuals this year. One of the recipients of the National Award of Honour previously received the National Award of Recognition.

This year, 6 individuals would be awarded for achieving exceptional distinction in completing studies at MQA rank 10, 4 individuals for achieving the highest rank in an academic or training course, and one individual for performing remarkably creatively and innovatively in their field and acknowledged to have had a positive effect on national progress.

The National Awards Committee, constituted by the President to determine recipients for this prestigious award, selected the recipients. The President will present the awards to recipients at the official ceremony held to mark National Day on Wednesday, 5 October 2021, at Republic Square.

This year, the Special Medal for Memorising the Holy Quran will also be presented at the ceremony.
