President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, on Sunday afternoon, met with members of the Feridhoo Island Council of North Ari Atoll. Discussions at the meeting focused on the developmental plans for the island.

The council members shared with the President information about the requirements and concerns of the residents of Feridhoo. They highlighted the need for a harbour, coastal protection, healthcare service expansion, sports facilities, and the need for a multi-purpose hall for the school and banking services. They also spoke about the socio-economic needs of the residents.

President Solih assured the council members that funds had been allocated for the harbour development project and said he would look into how the coastal protection work could be accommodated. In addition, the President expressed his confidence in seeking amicable solutions to the challenges and difficulties faced by the residents of the island.
