As part of his visit to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, President Mohamed Nasheed has today met with Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah of Brunei Darussalam.
Speaking at the meeting, President Nasheed expressed sincere appreciation for the Brunei government's support and assistance rendered to the Maldives, especially in the area of education.
Noting that the two countries shared many similarities, President Nasheed said there were many areas in which both countries could strengthen relations.
Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah assured that Brunei would continue its assistance to the Maldives and agreed that the two countries could enhance bilateral relations.
