President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with the members of the GA. Dhaandhoo Island Council and the Women's Development Committee (WDC). The meeting was held at the Secretariat of the Dhaandhoo Council.

During the meeting, the Council members underscored the necessity for a housing initiative, access to banking services, and establishing a hospital. Moreover, they emphasised the significance of expediting the ongoing projects for the island's advancement.

Additionally, the Council acknowledged wanting to hasten the 50-tonne ice plant project and provide essential amenities in the reclaimed area of the island. They also expressed a keen interest in connecting Nilandhoo and Dhaandhoo islands by bridge.

The WDC emphasised the need to improve the healthcare system in the island. They also highlighted the requirement for a gynaecologist and affordable housing options.

The President assured the members that all concerns raised would be diligently addressed with careful consideration. Some Ministers in attendance provided the Council with the latest updates on the issues raised.
