President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with the F. Dharan'boodhoo Island Council and Women's Development Committee (WDC) members at the Secretariat of the Dharan'boodhoo Council to discuss the island's developmental needs.

During the meeting, Council members stressed the need to protect the eroding coastline. They also highlighted the importance of facilitating housing loans for newly issued land plots, completing the construction of the school's multi-purpose hall, completing road construction, addressing healthcare needs, upgrading the football stadium, and establishing a volleyball court and park.

The WDC members expressed concerns about the existing budget constraints. They sought support for transforming the designated WDC workspace into a more efficient and productive environment.

Speaking at the meeting, President Dr Muizzu revealed that developing a youth centre, a volleyball court, and a football stadium were among the projects planned for implementation by the Administration.

The President offered updates on the Government's ongoing initiatives to address the issues raised by the Council through the Ministers present at the meeting and assured them that he would address their concerns.
