President Mohamed Nasheed has today visited the Ozone2Climate Technology Roadshow that showcases ozone and climate friendly products and technologies available in the world market.

During the visit, the President was briefed on the advanced green technologies and environmentally friendly products showcased at the roadshow by the world’s leading companies.

Ozone2Climate Technology Roadshow being held at Dharubaaruge from 8 to 12 May exhibits non-HCFC based, low- and zero-global warming potential, energy efficient and environmentally friendly technologies available or in the pipeline in the market by leading companies and institutions in tourism, fisheries, cold storages and transportation sector from around the world.

The Maldives as a party to the Montréal Protocol have decided to control the use of HCFC from 2011 in order to accelerate HCFC phase-out as part of its commitment to Montréal Protocol.
