President Makes Director Training Mandatory for Directors of Public Enterprises

President Mohamed Nasheed has made it compulsory for directors appointed to public enterprises to successfully complete the Directors Training Course within three months of their appointment.

The Directors Training Course will be conducted by the Institute of Corporate Directors and Secretaries of the Capital Market Development Authority in association with the President’s Office.

The President has also made it mandatory for all directors currently in the Boards of Directors of public enterprises to pass the course within the next three months to continue in their present posts.
